Kristian Strand Sinkerund and Espen Horn acted as producers for the movie and expressed how thrilled and excited they were to be a part of the movie. They said: We are thrilled and amazed to bring a troll movie into reality, a Norwegian fairy tale figure well-directed, played, and produced by Norwegians for the global market. Motion Blurr is ecstatic to introduce the collaboration with director Netflix and Roar Uthaug.

Johannes Ringen composed the music for the movie, and Ingrid Lykkeslet Stromskag chose the casting. Ingrid Lykkeslet collaborated with Roar Uthaug on the movie The Wave in 2015. The composer is Johannes, based in Los Angeles, who worked on Dead Snow 2: Red vs. Dead, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Furious 7.
