Marvel fans have eagerly anticipated The Guardians of the Galaxy 3′ return in their own feature film, and thankfully the wait will not last too much longer.

The final instalment in the Guardians saga will be prepared and ready once Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) launches Phase 5, and we finally received a public glimpse at the upcoming film with a brand-new teaser. Release Date

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will dance its way into theatres for the summer blockbuster season next year, specifically on May 5, 2023. Thus, the third Guardians film will serve as both the second instalment in the MCU’s frenetic Phase 5 schedule and the halfway point of the Multiverse Saga.

When and Where Will Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 be Streaming?

After its theatrical debut, Vol. 3 will almost certainly be available for streaming on Disney+. If Marvel’s Disney+ releases follow their past pattern, we should reasonably anticipate to see the movie there about a month and a half after May 5, 2023.

Cast

After their end credits scene in Vol. 2, Stakar’s original Guardians cast, which includes Miley Cyrus as Mainframe from Black Mirror, Ving Rhames as Charlie-27 from Wendell & Wild, Michael Rosenbaum as Martinex from Smallville, and a silent alien sorcerer by the name of Krugarr, may make a comeback. 

As previously mentioned, Midsommar’s Will Poulter will bring Adam Warlock, a beloved comic book character guardian, and Peacemaker’s Chukwudi Iwuji will play the High Evolutionary, the main source of evil charm. There will also be a previously unheard-of figure in the film. 

Cosmo the Space Dog, who appeared briefly in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, is the person in question. In the third Guardians of the Galaxy film, Maria Bakalova, the breakout star of Borat: The Next Chapter (2020), will voice Cosmo.

The Suicide Squad’s own Ratcatcher 2, Daniela Melchior, will be joining the cast as the final James Gunn veteran. She will be portraying an unnamed character in the continuously growing Marvel universe, but since it is not yet known who will play Lady Lylla the Otter, that seems like a likely candidate for her mystery role.

Plot

In Vol. 3, the intergalactic “A-Holes” who defended the galaxy from Ronan the Accuser and Ego in the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies continue their heroic journey. 

The movie will probably address Avengers: Endgame’s aftereffects, particularly by telling what happened to a time-displaced Gamora who left the team following the major crossover to engage in some serious soul-searching. 

We also know that the plot will centre on Adam Warlock from the comic books, who was hinted to in the first film and is a super-strong cosmic creature produced by Elizabeth Debicki’s gold-skinned character Ayesha.

Gunn mentioned which characters he loves to write and gave a hint as to which of them have the most compelling stories in Vol. 3 while responding to fan questions on Instagram. 

He admitted that he enjoyed penning Nebula and Rocket’s stories the most (which are still included in Volume 3). “But I also believe that the others, including Quill and Mantis, have tremendous things in store for them. As opposed to only occurring in the individual movies, all of their arcs occur over the course of the three films.” 

The Nebula actor Karen Gillan said to Collider that she and co-star Pom Klementieff (Mantis) were in tears following their first read-through, suggesting that they both believe Nebula’s story concludes on a positive note.

We both sobbed and laughed while reading it together, she said, but there were plenty of tears. It is amazing; in my opinion, James’s most accomplished effort to date with the Guardians is just wonderful. It is humorous, emotional, smart, and full of everything else you could possibly want. 

Additionally, the film is rumoured to examine Rocket’s horrible history.

The movie will also address the fact that Mantis and Star-Lord/Peter Quill share the same father, Ego, as was shown in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.

Who will die in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3
